Adopting Animals
In order to adopt a pet, choose a dog or cat listed on the website and contact the shelter to check the current status of that animal. Shelter hours are Tuesday - Friday 11-5 and Saturday 10-2.
Adoption Fees effective February 1, 2010:
Puppies (under six months old): In-state:
$200.00
Out-of-state: $200.00
Adult dogs (six months and older): In-state: $150.00
Out-of-state: $150.00
New Leash on Life graduates: In-state: $200.00
Out-of-state: $200.00
Note: Out-of-state additional $35.00 fee covers the out-of-state transportation certificate required by law.
Cats: Feline Leukemia shots and tested, vet checked, checked for ear mites, given shots up to date, dewormed, flea preventative and are spayed or neutered.
Dogs: Heartworm test (9 months or older), vet checked, dewormed, heartworm protection, flea and tick preventative, all shots current including the Bordetella vaccine, and are spayed or neutered.

Because we strive to match the perfect dog or cat with your family, adoptions are not immediate. They are reviewed by the Adoption Department. We make every effort to be prompt yet thorough so each of these animals can find their Forever Homes as quickly as possible.
